ABP Foods Ireland is a long time customer of Savenet’s Enterprise File Sync and Share platform. ABP Food Group is the largest processor of beef in Ireland and the UK, and one of the top three in Europe. The company processes c.1m cattle each year and exports to over twenty countries. ABP works with many of Europe’s largest supermarket chains and food retailers to ensure beef is produced with full traceability ‘from farm to fork’.
Working with a network of over 35,000 farmers in Ireland, the UK and Poland, ABP contributes an estimated €1.3bn each year into the rural economies in which it operates.
The company’s core business – ABP Beef, is supported by its renewable pet food and protein divisions, which combine to ensure the value of by-products is maximized and the environmental impact of the business and customers is minimized.
The Savenet File Sync and Share solution enables ABP to securely share files between its processing plants and within company departments. It is also used for sharing certain files with third party suppliers and customers. No matter where anyone is, they can easily access their shared folders files on any device.
Alan Farrelly, Head of IT for ABP Ireland and Poland said, “We chose the Savenet Fileshare solution for Enterprise File Sync and Share as it was the only one that could guarantee data residency in Irish datacentres and Savenet is an ISO 27001 company.”
“It’s great for us in the IT team, because we have full control and transparency as to who can share what files, with two factor authentications and a full audit trail for additional security.”
